☀️ Wonderful Scones takes only 30 min. to make

I’ll start by telling you how easy this delicious scones are. After that, I’ll tell you why you should try them.

If you love bread as me, I`m sure you will appreciate this easy recipe, it takes only 25-30 minutes, to make inclusive baking. The soft cake-like bread with ice-cold butter melting over the buns, feels like my childhood street. I remember how I was in seventh heaven when my grandmother baked them, and it smelled all over the courtyard.

Normally I try very hard to make bread raised overnight. Similarly, i love quick made bread with lots of flavor, especialy lemon flavor.
In the afternoon I like to enjoy an Oatly-latte, and relax. Likewise, I love putting teeth in a scones, greased with ice-cold butter (Smørbar)

Recipe (8 scones)

  • 375g Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 112g) plant-based Butter
  • 4 Tbsp Caster Sugar
  • 180ml Oat-Milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice

How to

  1. Preheat the oven to 430°F (220°C)
  2. Sift the flour into a mixing bowl and add salt and baking powder.
  3. Add the plant- butter and rub in with your fingers until the mix is crumbly.
  4. Add the sugar, oat-milk, vanilla extract and lemon juice and mix in with a spoon.
  5. Flour your work surface and your hands, and add extra flour if needed as you move the mix out of the mixing bowl and roll it with your hands into a big ball.
  6. If the dough is sticky add more flour.
  7. Flatten it out so that there is space to cut out 4 scones.and place them on a parchment lined baking tray.
  8. Roll the remaining dough and cut out 2 more scones.
  9. Roll again and cut out another 2 scones, with anything left over becoming the final scone.
  10. Brush the tops of the scones with oat milk.
  11. Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes until golden.
