“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye”

 Antoine de Saint-Exupèry

What is an “inner sense”?

None but you can know and feel what you feel. Only you know. You cannot prove to others that the inner feeling exists, it cannot be analyzed or displayed, it is an internal matter.

When we fall in love or when we are happy, no one else can feel the same, this is only something you can feel and sense, this feeling of absolute happiness, almost a rush, you cannot make others feel the same way as you. You can only explain the feeling.

Because we live in a society where everything must be proved, we have lost confidence in our inner sense, we have been dependent on others’ attitudes and opinions. If a friend looks at you and say, you look sad, you begin to feel sad. You may think that he is right, you is perhaps not as happy as you thought at first. In fact, a whole group of people make you feel unhappy, if they decide to say, you look sad and mournful. Then you realize that you must be unhappy when so many people in one day tells you the same.

We are losing our touch with ourselves and our inner sense, and must explore to get it restored. Divinity can be experienced only through the inner sense.

Here are 5 tips to work with your inner sense and feel the divine within ourselves.

  1. Allow your inner sense to say things to you. Know that within 45 seconds, your feeling is intact, then ideas of the brain takes over and stops you from sensing things . (write things down immediately)
  2. Try looking at a flower, do not say right away: it is beautiful. It is not your inner feeling, it’s just something you have been taught that a flower must be beautiful. Feel it, smell it, then it creates a completely new feeling.
  3. Meditation allows you to discover the inner feeling. Give yourself 10 minutes of meditation each day.
  4. Silence. To dare turn off all music, noise, and just feel the silence. For many people  it feels scary , to be alone with ourselves and the silence.
  5. Free yourself of others’ opinions and attitudes, trust your inner sense. Do not let others take your feeling from you.

God is not a person, but the ultimate feeling of well being, the ultimate feeling of being home. The feeling that I am belonging to this world and I’m no stranger here, I’m not an outsider.
